Job Description:
- As a Software Quality Engineer, you will develop, revise and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements.
- You will work with Product Development, Product Management and the Customer Support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- You will collaborate to develop comprehensive test plans across Dell?s product portfolio.
- You will have the opportunity to drive continual process improvements for the evolution of testing procedures and their future replication.
You will:
- Provide solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Understand and adhere to cost/delivery/quality targets established during regression and testing phase
- Contribute to test automation activities by coding and programming in current languages
- Follow standard engineering/test practices and use judgment within defined practices and procedures
Essential Skills:
- Understanding of Storage Systems
- Understanding of the Linux OS environments (RHEL, SuSe, Fedora etc.)
- Ability to conduct manual testing under guidance
- Exposure to concepts of testing and testing techniques
- Ability to debug problems under guidance
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to computer science concepts
- Linux system internals, UNIX system API
- Python programming know how
